Portfolio
Shipped work across hardware, software, and applied AI, from early-stage prototypes to products in front of users. Each entry links to its own anchor, so individual case studies can be shared directly.
DéteXion
Director of Product Management
Guided the founders to stand up their product-development infrastructure and co-designed the product from a lab-only diagnostic to an MVP benchtop beta, cutting equipment cost ~30x to make it commercially viable for the target users.

Context
Bootstrapped biomedical startup commercializing doctoral research into a market-ready diagnostic platform.
Brought on early-stage to take a research/academic project to commercial viability.
What I did
- Guided the founders to stand up their product-development infrastructure from scratch: project management and tracking, requirements documentation, use-case discovery and definition, and co-working and collaboration tools.
- Acted as the project's generalist engineer myself, handling the mechanical and industrial design, the beta-version UI, and a range of other engineering tasks.
- Established structured product management processes: requirements definition, backlog prioritization, user-driven feedback loops, and validation methods.
- Coordinate cross-functional co-development between internal engineering teams and external technical contractors.
- Identified and organised the collaborations with partner clinics for initial product feedback, and to become first adopters for clinical field trials.
- Designed and planned the unified workflow across the hardware components, UI, and software automation to minimise the technician time required per test.
- Now designing and developing the public-beta device for use in clinical trials in 2027.
Results
- A fully functional, market-validated hardware and software system in the final stages of preparation for clinical trials, with pre-qualified users ready to participate.
Sans Catégorie
Co-founder / Head Coach
Built a brick-and-mortar cycling group fitness studio and café from first classes to profitability, operating only 6 months per year.
Context
Brought on for coaching expertise to launch a brick-and-mortar cycling group fitness studio and café.
Built the entire business from first classes to profitability after 2 years, operating only 6 months per year.
What I did
- Set up the training studio and selected and validated the equipment and software tools.
- Designed the training plan and class structure, including a periodized training method that promotes training consistency for long-term fitness gains over short-term wins.
- Trained coaches on group class operations and best practices for the client experience.
- Defined marketing and pricing.

The growth in the operational needs of Sans Catégorie drove me to build FLOW Training, which is the next case study.
FLOW Training
Founder / Developer
A complex, comprehensive custom software system built to better serve Sans Catégorie and its clients. The aim is to give every client the best possible training, wherever they are, in any sport, with as little effort on their part as possible. Three parts, currently in use or in late-stage beta.
Group fitness class app
Fully operating in group classes
What I did
- Runs classes where multiple athletes follow the same workout, but each version is adapted to their fitness level and individual daily fatigue.
- A highly precise system for giving each athlete the right workout the moment they walk into the studio, weighing their training history, habitual volume, and recent workouts.
- Combines data from group classes, the individual app, and imported sources (currently Strava and Intervals.icu) across any sport.
- Beyond fatigue tracking, it auto-estimates each user's key training metrics (aerobic thresholds, FTP, MAP) with my own proprietary algorithms to set workout intensity and individualise fatigue estimates.

Individual training app
Extended beta · 25+ current users · public paid beta July 2026
What I did
- An at-home extension of the group class app, built to keep Sans Catégorie users in our ecosystem when they train outside the studio.
- A fatigue-tracking and calendar app with a workout picker for athletes who don't want the rigidity of a structured plan, used as a guide for when to go hard and when to take it easy.
- Pick whatever sport you want that day and it tells you what's best.
- Structured workouts for cycling, running, and strength, adaptable indoor or outdoor, to any gym type, and driven by RPE or specific intensity metrics like power or pace.
- For other sports, or cycling and running without a structured workout, it recommends duration and global intensity.
- Includes all the same training-metric detection as the group class app.

Class booking and management software
Beta · general client launch November 2026
What I did
- Custom software for booking and reserving spots in classes, transactions for recurring memberships and class blocks, and retail purchases in the studio.
- Designed to fold a FLOW Training subscription seamlessly into the membership, generating additional revenue through the added value to clients.
- Built to prompt consumable upsells with each booking as another revenue stream.
- The standout feature: book a class by text message without ever opening the app. Text the FLOW Training number with your request and it is handled, with a follow-up text for spot selection and upsells.
- This is the product I am currently building, to have it ready for the transition into next season.

HYBRD
Consultant
Consulting for a Y Combinator F24 training app for hybrid athletes. I made their coaching plans adaptive and helped shape the AI personalization, driving a 3.4x increase in athlete retention after the free trial.
Context
Consulting project for HYBRD, a training app targeting hybrid athletes (Y Combinator F24), where I'm a publicly credited collaborator.
What I did
- Initially contracted to integrate Complete Human Performance's training plans into the platform and make them adaptive.
- The engagement continued past the original contract as the app added an AI chatbot for users to further personalize their training.
- Refine and provide the prompts used to train their agent in the specificities of hybrid training.
- Provide UI and workflow recommendations to make the user experience as close to hands-off as possible.
Results
- Introducing the adaptive training plans drove a 3.4x increase in athlete retention after the free trial.
Complete Human Performance
Consultant
Revived a dormant product into an adaptive, data-driven training system that drove ~3x revenue, paying off development cost in roughly 2 months.
Context
Took a dead/dormant product and modernized it with the company's limited budget and resources.
What I did
- Built a highly adaptable, data-driven training system using Google Sheets and publicly available tools.
- Designed the plans to adapt and personalize to each athlete while running entirely on free, publicly available tooling.
Results
- Approximately 3x revenue, which paid off development cost in roughly 2 months.
Large-corporation product experience
Owning post-launch strategy and bringing novel methodologies to market inside established product organizations.

AI tools and side projects
Smaller builds where a sharp tool or a contrarian bet does outsized work.
TrainingPeaks Assistant Coach Tool
- Custom-built tool to remove redundant work from individual coaching.
- Cleans up clients' TrainingPeaks (removes junk and mismatched activities).
- Builds clients' following training weeks within their current cycle, following my coaching style and a per-cycle prompt.
- Generates weekly reports across all coaching clients (comments, adherence, overview) instead of reviewing each calendar individually.
Roughly 15 hours saved per week with no perceived drop in coaching quality.
Business Expense and Revenue Organization Tool
- Personal tool to parse, track, document, and archive expenses across projects.
- Built for clean reporting and tax preparation.
- Next step: dashboard and interfaces.
